About Quarry Bank Model Railway
The setting for this model is based around a fictional station called Quarry Ban, the stone quarry and rail siding sit just behind the station. the other end of the layout is a canal.

Realistic Quarry Setting
The model showcases a detailed quarry environment, complete with miniature trains and realistic landscapes.
N Gauge Modelling
Modelling in N gauge offers a great opportunity to create a very detailed railway in a much smaller space
3D printed and scratch built
some of the things on the layout are 3D printed like the buffer stops, some of the house, the tunnel mouths and the canal boats.
Work in Progress
there is still a lot of work to be done to get this model close to finishing, but in reality they never get finished as there is always something to tweak, fix or change.
Landscaping
most of the landscaping is created by layering cardboard then covering it with kitchen roll then painting PVA glue and water mix over it, when it dries it creates a hard surface for painting, static grass etc.

This shows a close to finished Head shunt and buffer stop with advanced scenery.
